Calculator FAQs
How does the Hours Calculator work?
Enter clock-in, clock-out times and break minutes for each workday. The Hours Calculator automatically handles overnight shifts, subtracts breaks, and shows per-day HH:MM, decimal hours, and weekly totals with quarter-hour (15m) and tenth-hour (6m) payroll rounding. Try it on the Hours Calculator page.
Is this Compound Interest Calculator free to use?
Yes — the Compound Interest Calculator is 100% free with unlimited use and no fees. Enter principal, annual rate, years, compounding frequency and monthly contributions to see future value, interest earned, APY and a year-by-year breakdown. Project your savings on the Compound Interest Calculator page.
How accurate is this Overtime Calculator?
Very accurate for FLSA math. It calculates the regular rate including nondiscretionary bonuses, time-and-a-half (1.5×) beyond 40 hours, double-time (2×), and weighted averages for multiple pay rates. It shows gross pay before taxes — state rules vary, so verify local labor laws. Calculate your pay on the Overtime Calculator page.
What formula does this Scientific Calculator use?
There is no single formula — it uses a precise shunting-yard parser (no eval) with support for trig in DEG/RAD, log, ln, sqrt, cbrt, factorial, nPr/nCr, gcd/lcm, percent, powers, parentheses and constants like pi and e. For example, sin(30°) = 0.5 in DEG mode. Try it on the Scientific Calculator page.
Can I use the Salary Calculator on my phone?
Yes — the Salary Calculator is fully responsive and mobile-friendly on iPhone, Android, tablet and desktop, with light and dark mode. It runs instantly in your browser and converts hourly, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and annual pay with custom hours per week and weeks per year. Try it on the Salary Calculator page.
Do I need to sign up or download anything to use Calculators?
No. All Calculator Woosh calculators are free, with no sign-up, no account, no download and no installation. Just open any calculator in your browser and get instant results as you type, on phone or desktop.
Is my data saved or shared when I use Calculators?
No. All calculations run entirely in your browser — your inputs are never sent to our servers, saved, shared or sold. We store only essential preferences like theme choice in localStorage. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What's the difference between Hours Calculator and Overtime Calculator?
The Hours Calculator totals time worked — shift durations, break deductions and daily/weekly hours. The Overtime Calculator calculates pay — regular rate, time-and-a-half (1.5×), double-time (2×) and bonuses. Many people use them together: track hours first, then calculate the paycheck.
