Scale: Unweighted 4.0 (A=4.0, A-=3.7, B+=3.3…). P/NP, W, I grades are excluded. GPA = Σ(grade point × credits) / Σ credits.
Enter Quarter 1-4 grades as courses; GPA = Σ(points×units)/Σunits.
How to use
- 1Enter grades and units for each of the four quarters (or fewer if the year isn't complete).
- 2Include all graded coursework — quarter units function like semester credits in the formula.
- 3See your quarter-by-quarter GPA and the cumulative GPA for the academic year.
Formula
GPA = Σ (grade point × units) / Σ unitsEach quarter contributes quality points = grade point × units. The year cumulative GPA is the sum of all quality points divided by the sum of all units across quarters. Note that quarter units convert to semester credits at a 2:3 ratio when combining records.
Examples
Q1: 3.4 (12u), Q2: 3.6 (12u), Q3: 3.5 (12u), Q4: 3.8 (12u)
QP: 40.8 + 43.2 + 42.0 + 45.6 = 171.6 ÷ 48.
